The British company BP is a strategic investor in Azerbaijan and plans to expand its activities in our country, President Ilham Aliyev said at the International Conference “Along the Middle Corridor: Geopolitics, Security and Economics”.
Speaking about Azerbaijani’s plans with BP, President Ilham Aliyev said: “Of course, we continue our cooperation. BP is a strategic investor in Azerbaijan, the operator Azeri-Chirag-Guneshi (ACH) and plans to expand his activities. Such projects as deep gas with ACH, now we need more than ever. I know that negotiations between BP and SOCAR on these projects are being very successful. Earlier there were certain delays due to the actions of the leadership of SOCAR, disagreed with representatives of the Azerbaijani authorities. But now everything is clear : Azerbaijani gas is needed, and it is time to use this huge potential. “
