Ilham Aliyev: Agreements Between Azerbaijan And Armenia Are Of Historical Significance

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated this at a meeting with a delegation led by the Chairman of the Croatian Parliament Gordan Jandrokovic in Baku, reports the press service of the head of state

Ilham Aliyev expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Croatia.

Gordan Jandrokovic congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on the results achieved in Washington in promoting the peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

Noting the good level of relations between Azerbaijan and Croatia, Gordan Jandrokovic emphasized the existence of opportunities for further expansion inter-parliamentary relations.

Recalling that inter-parliamentary friendship groups operate in both countries, the guest touched upon the importance of cooperation not only between these groups, but also various parliamentary committees.

At the meeting it was noted that bilateral relations are developing on the basis of the principles of friendship and partnership. In addition, the existence of wide opportunities for cooperation in energy, investment, tourism and other fields was stated, and prospects for the development of relations between our countries within the framework of international inter-parliamentary institutions were discussed.

It was emphasized that Croatia constantly supports the development of relations between Azerbaijan and the European Union and NATO.
