On Tuesday, February 15, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg called President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
During the conversation of the Secretary General of the Alliance, Ilham Aliyev was gratitude for the visit of NATO in December last year and the speech in the Higher Organization – the North Atlantic Council.
Head of State, in turn, thanked for invitation and hospitality rendered.
During the telephone conversation, the development of associations of Azerbaijan-NATO was expressed, and an exchange of views on post-conflict situation in the region, current processes around Ukraine and the situation in the global energy market took place.
NATO Secretary General expressed appreciation to Azerbaijan for the fact that the country is a reliable gas supplier to Europe and increases gas exports.
