Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev called the President of Kazakhstan Kasym-Zhomart Tokaev, the press service of the head of the Azerbaijani state reports.
According to the report, Ilham Aliyev congratulated Kasym-Zhomart Tokayev on a confident victory in the presidential election, wished him new successes in the presidential post in the name of the development and prosperity of Kazakhstan, including the implementation of reforms.
In turn, Kasim-Zhomart Tokaev expressed gratitude to Ilham Aliyev for attention and congratulations, the message says.
During the conversation, the parties noted the successful implementation of the agreements reached at the last official meetings. Tokaev also invited Aliyev to visit Kazakhstan on an official visit.
During a telephone conversation, the presidency exchanged views on issues of mutual interest, the message emphasizes.
