Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in his speech in the 3rd Shushinsky global media forum, addressing the Ukrainians, said: “Never agree with the occupation. Ukrainians should not give up and should not put up with a violation of their territorial integrity.”
Aliyev met with the participants of the 3rd Shushinsky global media forum in the city of Hankendi and touched the topic of development of regional and global events.
Speaking about the Zangesur corridor, Aliyev noted that this highway will become a strategic line that will strengthen not only the unification of the Azerbaijani territories, but also regional and international transportation.
“The Zangesur corridor will bind many countries. This means not only the unification of the mainland of Azerbaijan with Nakhchivan. It will also become an important transport line that will laid the path for international transport,” the president said.
According to him, the annual throughput of the corridor will reach 15 million tons. Azerbaijan is rapidly continuing the construction of the railway on its territory.
“We are currently building a railway to the border with Armenia and Iran. In the summer of 2026, we will complete the construction of this line. Unfortunately, no work is being carried out on the Armenian side. They make conscious efforts so as not to raise this issue. If they try to block this process in the future, they will continue to be in isolation both in the transport and political terms,” added. Aliyev.
– Ukrainians should not give up
Speaking of the war between Ukraine and Russia, he advised Ukrainians “to never put up with occupation.”
Having stated that Azerbaijan never put up with the occupation of Karabakh, Aliyev noted that they survived difficult times, gradually recovered, and ultimately liberated their lands from the occupation.
Aliyev said that the Minsk group of security and cooperation in Europe (OSCE), the co -chairs of which were the United States, Russia and France, did not work to solve the problem, but to leave everything as it is: “They told us to accept the situation. We created a new reality in 2020 in 44 days, and they had to accept it.” Ukrainians also should not give up and never reconciled in violation of their territorial integrity. “

Speaking about my foreign policy, Aliyev said: “I never lie to my people. I try to tell the truth to my international partners. We have always adhered to universal principles of international law.”
In the 3rd Shushinsky media forum under the motto “Digital transitions: strengthening the stability of information and the media in the Age of Artificial Intelligence” about 140 participants from 52 countries take part.
The forum, in which more than 30 information agencies, 7 international organizations and about 80 media organizations participate, will last 4 days.
