Relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey are an important factor in regional development. This was said by President Ilham Aliyev on May 3 at the fourth international conference on the topic “Formation of the geopolitics of Big Eurasia: from the past to the present and future” in Shush dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the national leader Heydar Aliyev.
“The last 20 years, when President Erdogan headed Turkey, our relationship has turned thanks to our joint efforts into relations not only between brothers, but also between allies, and we showed this many times. Therefore, of course, this is important factor of regional development, ”said the head of state.
“As for relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey in the future, I am absolutely sure that our countries will not only maintain an existing format of allied relations, but also strengthen it, because in the current new geopolitical realities they have become an important factor in regional stability and security , whether in the military field, in the energy sector, in the field of communications, trade, etc., ”he said.
The head of state emphasized that he is extremely optimistic in the issue of the future Azerbaijani-Turkish ties. “I believe that nothing will change the fraternal nature of the relationship between Turkey and Azerbaijan,” said Aliyev.
