Ilham Aliyev said volume of gas reserves in Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan in the coming years will increase gas exports to Europe at least twice, said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.

“Recently, a memorandum of strategic partnership in the field of energy was signed between the EU and Azerbaijan. According to this memorandum, in the coming years we will increase gas exports to Europe at least twice, and this is possible,” Aliyev said to a joint press conference with President of Bulgaria Rumen Radeva.

Ilham Aliyev also announced negotiations on the opening of the SOCAR office in Bulgaria: “We should not consider our work in the energy sector completed by the only export of natural gas. This area, the transportation of raw oil in the Bulgarian direction, the possible participation of SOCAR in updating the energy infrastructure in Bulgaria and other questions.
