Ilham Aliyev: “The Karabakh conflict would never have decided in peaceful way”

The post-war period and the actions of the international forces indicate that the Karabakh conflict would never have been resolved through negotiations, President Ilham Aliyev said, speaking at the opening of the days of Vagif’s poetry in Shushe, reports AzerTaj.

“The negotiation process lasted for almost 30 years, but did not give any results. The current course of events, the period of the second Karabakh war and the actions of international forces show that this issue would never have found its decision by negotiation,” the head of the Azerbaijani state said. / P>

Ilham Aliyev stated that the world community was trying to present a frozen conflict as a non-alternate option. “We also had an absolutely different opinion, and I never hid it. I said that if the question is not resolved in a peaceful way, we will restore our territorial integrity by military way,” said the President of Azerbaijan.

The head of state recalled that all the rules and principles of international law recognize this right for Azerbaijan: “UN Charter, UN Security Council resolution, historical justice gave us this right. We have achieved our goal.”
