This was stated by President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, turning on Saturday to the participants of the Aviation festival, astronautics and technology Teknofest-2023 in Istanbul.
According to the Azerbaijani leader, modern Turkey is a trade, energy, transport and political center of Eurasia, and its significance and role are constantly growing.
Ilham Aliyev attracted attention to the achievements of the technological and defense complex of Turkey, which are rightfully recognized today in the world.
“The developed and advanced defense industry strengthens the positions of not only Turkey, but also its friends and allies. This is a guarantor of security for many years to come,” said the head of Azerbaijan, noting that the Turkish army is one of the most advanced armies of the world.
“I hope that soon the unmanned farm of the Turkish development of Kizilelma will fly in the sky of our country,” the politician noted, reporting, the Bayraktar center will soon be created in Azerbaijan.
The President of Azerbaijan further stated that his country would never forget about the support of Turkey and President Erdogan personally during the war, which marked the liberation of the country’s territories occupied by Armenia. “From the first and until the last minutes of the Second Karabakh war, my dear brother President Recep Tayyip Erdogan was next to us. He clearly stated that Azerbaijan was not alone, and Turkey next to Azerbaijan. This gave us additional forces and motivation,” Aliyev said.
The Head of State recalled that having signed the Shushin Declaration two years ago, Azerbaijan and Turkey officially formalized allied relations. “The signing of this historical declaration in Shush, which is the crown of the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan, is of particular importance. Shusha is an expensive city for the Azerbaijani people, an expensive city for the entire Turkic world,” continued Aliyev.
The president emphasized that Azerbaijan and Türkiye are one. “As Heydar Aliyev stated: Azerbaijan and Turkey -“ one nation and two states! ”I want to add to this that our countries are one single fist!”, The Azerbaijani leader emphasized.

Aviation, astronautics and technology festival has been held on an annual basis since 2018 by the joint efforts of the T3 Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technologies of Turkey.
The purpose of the festival is to attract the interest of society, especially young people in technologies, increase awareness of modern developments and achievements of Turkey.
Visitors can see the latest developments of the Turkish defense industry, including the drones of Bayraktar Kızılelma and Bayraktar akıncı. For the first time, the Bayraktar TB3 shock drone will be presented.
Teknofest holds technological competitions, aviation shows, concerts, discussions on different topics and many other interesting events.
