“The basis of successfully developing interstate relations between Azerbaijan and Israel is the will of our peoples, historically living in conditions of friendship, mutual understanding and respect.” This is stated in the congratulatory letter of the President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, sent to the President of Israel Yitzhaku Duke on the occasion of the national holiday – Independence Day.
The head of state noted that the expansion of the circle of coverage of Azerbaijani-Israeli ties, the active cooperation of our countries in a number of important areas causes satisfaction.
“Undoubtedly, the discovery of representatives of trade and tourism of our country in Tel Aviv will contribute to the development of our cooperation, the expansion of contacts between people. I want to especially note the participation of Israeli companies in the work on the restoration and reconstruction carried out in the territories of Azerbaijan, which are exacerbated from the occupation.
I believe that there are good opportunities for even greater development of mutual activity in the field of energy, high technologies, education, military-technical and other areas. I am sure that we will continue to make joint efforts to expand traditional friendly relations between our countries, the full use of the potential of our cooperation in accordance with the interests of our peoples.
