Illegal deforestation in Azerbaijan: criminal cases have been instituted

The Azerbaijan Prosecutor General’s Prosecutor General summed up information about the illegal cutting of trees in the village of Tirzhan of the Ismailinsky district, the city of Agdzhabedi and the Lerik district of the country.

there noted that during the trial carried out in the management of non -exit production, it was found that with illegal cutting of 341 wood and shrubs, as well as the secret theft of 32 trees of various breeds fallen as a result of a natural disaster in the village of Tirzhan Ismaillinsky district, the city of agdjabedi and the Lerik district nature caused damage in the amount of more than 42 thousand manat.

Criminal cases initiated under articles 177.1 (theft), 259.1 (illegal cutting of trees) and 259.2.4 (illegal chopping of trees with causing large -scale damage) of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan, sent for investigation into the relevant internal affairs bodies, informed in department.
