The International Monetary Fund (IMF) expects Western sanctions due to the situation around Ukraine will lead Russia to a deep recession, the director said the manager of the IMF Crystaline Georgiev in an interview with CBS TV channel.
“The sanctions influence the Russian economy quite hard. We expect a deep recession in Russia,” – quotes Georgiev TASS.
she added that in the IMF “no longer consider the impossibility of default in Russia.”
