With regard to Vugar Tagizade and Allahverdi Mammadli, accused of attacking the monument to Haji Zeynlabdin Tagiyev in the capital, a preventive measure was elected in the form of police control. This decision was made on the basis of today’s process in the Sabail district court.
Both men were released and transferred under police control.
Recall that on January 18, as a result of operational-search activities conducted by the police department of the Sabail district, suspected crime were detained – 30-year-old Vugar Tagizade and 25-year-old Allahverdi Mammadli. In fact, a criminal case was initiated under articles 221 (hooliganism) and 246 (intentional destruction or damage of monuments of history and culture) of the Criminal Code.
