In the first four months of this year, Turkey visited a total of 12 million 744 thousand 84 people.
According to the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey, 10 million 590 thousand 9 people amounted to foreign tourists, and 2 million 154 thousand 75 – Turkish citizens living abroad.
In the first place among countries in the number of arrived tourists was Germany – 1 million 143 thousand 107 people. This is followed by the Russian Federation with 977 152 visitors and Iran from 946,472. Also, a significant number of tourists came from Bulgaria and Great Britain.
The number of foreign guests who visited Turkey in April of this year reached 3 million 900 thousand 546 people, which is 8.01% more compared to April 2024.
Germany again took first place, sending 571 thousand 42 tourists to Turkey, which is 31.32% more than last April. In second place – Russia with 375 820 by tourists, in the third – Great Britain (373 922), where an increase of 13.27%was also recorded. This is followed by Bulgaria and Iran.
