At the games in Paris, we will also have a single torch design. This torch personifies all previous games. When we look back at history, each torch is more beautiful than others, each with its unique. Each country is trying to demonstrate its own creativity. The torch is primarily distinguished by its unique and radiant “champagne color”. To reflect the upcoming games, the designer of torch Mathieu Leanner drew inspiration from three symbols of the 2024 Olympic Games: equality, water and peace.
The size of the torch made of steel is 70 cm, the minimum diameter in the upper and lower part is 3.5 cm, the maximum diameter in the middle is 10 cm.
Weighs a torch of 1.5 kg. In total, 2 thousand copies will be made. The number of torches was reduced five times compared to previous games.
The lighting ceremony of games in Paris will be held in ancient Olympia on April 16, 2024. The fire will arrive in Marseille on May 8, the Olympic flame relay will be held in more than 400 cities of France, 10 thousand torchs will take part in it.
