Over the past week, 2570 new cases of infection with coronavirus were identified in Georgia, which is 2.5 times higher than a week before. The mortality rate is still at the same level – three deaths have been recorded in a week, writes Georgia news.
According to the director of the Tbilisi infectious diseases hospital Tengiz Tserzvadze, the peak of the incidence of coronavirus in Georgia will come in the fall: “Recently in Georgia, like around the world, there has been a significant increase in new cases of Covid … Ahead of the summer, active tourist season, and peak We expect an increase in the incidence in the fall, ”writes Tserzvadze on Facebook.
According to Tserzvadze, the incidence of Covid in Georgia increased by about seven times – if earlier a day confirmed about a hundred new cases of infection, now to 700. It indicates that it is especially important to maintain mortality at the current minimum. Tserzvadze calls on citizens to vaccinate, and in the case of a symptom of respiratory diseases, immediately conduct a test for coronavirus and follow the doctor’s recommendations.
