In Georgia revealed new cases of infection by British strain COVID

In Georgia, about 50 cases of the new strain of Coronavirus were recorded, the head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health Amiran Gamkrelidze.

“We already have about 50 confirmed cases of a new strain. Basically, this is a British strain that extends to Europe,” said Gamkrelidze, adding that vaccines that exist against coronavirus act on a new strain, says Sputnik Georgia.

Gamcrelidze also noted that if it is possible to maintain the current epiditational in Georgia in March and April, it will be possible to avoid the third wave of a pandemic.
