In Germany, they warned of strongest hunger since Second World War

The crisis that has arisen due to coronavirus pandemia and the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine can lead to aggravation of the problem of hunger around the world, said the Minister of Economic Cooperation and Development of Germany, Militia Schulce. She warned about this in an interview with Bild.

Schulce noted that at the moment, food prices have reached record values, and about 300 million people suffer from hunger.

“The World Food Program believes that 300 million people in the world suffer from hunger, and these estimates are constantly adjusted towards the increase. The bitter news is such that we are threatened with the strongest hunger since the Second World War with millions of dead,” said Schulce quoted by RBC.
