In Goskomstat, they told what foods went up in December

In Azerbaijan in December last year, the consumer price index for non-food products amounted to 100.7 percent compared with the previous month, in comparison with December 2020 – 107.7 percent, reported in the State Committee on Statistics.

According to the departments, in December 2021, in Azerbaijan, the rise in prices compared to the previous month occurred on food such as buckwheat, bread, flour, pasta, rice, chicken, beef and lamb, fresh and frozen fish, condensed and nonpasteurized milk, cheese, cottage cheese, yogurt, sour cream, chicken eggs, creamy and sunflower oil, table margarine, pomegranates, bananas, apples, pears, walnuts, hazelnuts, cucumbers, tomatoes, potatoes, onions, garlic, lentils, sugar and sugar, candy, tea, coffee and cocoa powder. The prices for oranges, lemons, persimmon, kiwi, cabbage and carrots have decreased.

In December last year, the rise in prices was recorded in Azerbaijan compared with the previous month on such non-food products, like spare parts for cars, furniture, household appliances, electronics, clothing and shoes, decrease – mainly on mobile phones.

Consumer price index for food, drinks and tobacco products in December 2021 increased by 2.6% compared with the previous month and by 15.8% compared with December 2020.
