In India, they declared epidemic of “black mold” against background of COVID-19

In the two Indian states of Rajasthan and Telangan, an epidemic of “black mold” was declared – a dangerous disease of the mucormicosis. This is stated in the notification signed by Rajastan Health Minister Achil Arora. It quotes RIA Novosti.

It is noted that the number of illness increases against the background of coronavirus, infection with fungus is manifested as a side effect of COVID-19. “Notifies about the epidemic and disease subject to registration, throughout the state,” the report says.

In the state of about 100 patients infected with Mukormikosis, they created a special department in the State Hospital Savai Man Singh. Rajastan’s decision says that all medical facilities must comply with the established recommendations and report suspicious and confirmed diseases in the health department.

On May 9, the doctors of the Indian State Gujarat recorded the outbreak of the muffomicosis in the surviving coronavirus. Journalists reported that more than 100 people have already infected in the country. Two days earlier it became known about 40 recorded cases of black mold: eight patients from their number lost sight.
