In Iran, they judge leader of reformers to Mostaf Tajzade

In Tehran, a trial began on one of the leaders of the Iranian reformists Mostafoy Tajzade. The 65-year-old politician, in the past, headed the Ministry of Internal Affairs and was an adviser to President Mohammad Hatam. He is accused of undermining state security. It is reported by Newsru.co.il.

Tajzade is not before court. In 2009, he took part in mass manifestations against the election of Mahmoud Ahmadinezhad by President Iran and was sent to prison for seven years. He was found guilty both in undermining state security and in anti -state propaganda.

After the liberation of Tajzade, he returned to political activity, calling for the release of two leaders of the reformist camp from the house arrest: Mir-Hosein Musavi and Mehdi Carubi. He tried to nominate the candidacy in the last presidential election, but was not allowed to participate.
