In Kremlin they explained why Putin rides to Geneva

The Kremlin is ready for a joint press conference with Joe Biden, but the decision about it has not yet been accepted. This was stated by the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Sadkov in an interview with CNN TV channel, reports TASS.

“We have heard of such an opportunity from American colleagues, but we are still waiting for the final confirmation. From the very beginning, President Putin was opened to various options,” the channel of the word Peskov is on Friday.

The spokesman for the Russian president added that Putin rides to Geneva because “between Russia and the United States are bad relationships”, and not to be with Biden in the same room.

Putin and Biden will meet in Geneva on June 16. The Kremlin said that the leaders of Russia and the United States are planning to “discuss the state and prospects for the further development of Russian-American relations, the problems of strategic stability, as well as current issues of the international agenda, including interaction in the fight against coronavirus pandemic and the settlement of regional conflicts.”
