MFA Kyrgyzstan at a meeting of the Committee Jogorku Kenesh (Parliament) on international affairs, defense and safety proposed that the ambassador of the country in Russia Gulnara Clala Samat was also appointed part-time by the Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan in Armenia with a residence in Moscow.
However, Sputnik writes, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on International Affairs Tazabek Ikramov said that “Russia is a big country. Our embassy has a lot of work there. It was necessary to add Armenia’s supervision add to the duties of the ambassador in Azerbaijan. There are few citizens.”
On this deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nuran Nyazhitalev explained Ikramov that the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan is located in Baku: “However, there is no opportunity to oversee Armenia from Baku, since Armenia, in view of the established relations with Azerbaijan, will not give it to this consent.”
Deputies with this argument agreed and approved the proposal of the Foreign Ministry. Gulnara Clare Samat will have to solve the problems of citizens of Kyrgyzstan not only in Russia, but also in Armenia.
