In Moscow, they stated that they could do without gas transit through Ukraine

If Kiev does not want to transit Russian gas, Moscow will cost it without him, Dmitry Birichevsky, Director of the Economic Cooperation Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, said that there is no talk about it yet.

Birichevsky stated that Russia will be able to fulfill all the obligations to supply gas to Europe, but this does not mean the rejection of transit through Ukraine.

“If Ukraine does not want to miss our gas through its territory, what I doubt, then, probably, we will be able to do without it. But, as far as I know, there is no conversation about this yet,” RIA news words diplomat.

On August 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the construction of the Northern Flow-2 is nearing completion, 15 kilometers around the sea remained.
