Military gendarmerie Poland detained a Russian citizen on suspicion of espionage, the state statement said in a statement of the country’s government.
It is noted that a man working on Russian special services committed actions to the detriment of Poland. He was detained on April 6, 2022.
The proofs collected by the military counterintelligence service indicate that the agent collected information on the military readiness of the Polish Armed Forces and NATO military.
“The suspect is a citizen of Russia living in Poland for 18 years, where he was engaged in entrepreneurship. At the request of the prosecutor’s office, the court decided to conclude him in custody for 3 months. At the moment, the collected evidence is being studied,” the statement says.
Also, thanks to the evidence collected in another case, the identities of two citizens of Belarus were established, which was carried out in Poland intelligence activities in the interests of Belarusian special services. The suspects were detained on April 4.
