In port of Istanbul, long queues for visiting flagship of TCG Anadolu Navy

Istanbul (AA) – the inhabitants and guests of Istanbul flock to the port of Sarayburn to visit the TCG Anadolu, the largest ship of the Turkish Navy and the world’s first aircraft carrier for shock UAVs.

On the sidewalks from Eminynyn and Akharkapa to the Harbor Sarayburn, kilometer lines of those who wanted to see the ship that stood on combat duty on April 10

formed.

The inhabitants of the metropolis began to flock to Sarayburn in the early morning. Military staff misses everyone, from small to great. They are thoroughly checked, then they are sent to wait for a large tent with chairs, and from there they are already allowed in groups to deck.

The townspeople, together with the children, inspect a huge ship with interest, take memorable photos on mobile phones. At all stages, visitors are met and directed by the military.

Particular interest is caused by tanks, landing and ground technology on the first deck of the ship.

Earlier, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the flagship of the Turkish Navy, the TCG Anadolu landing ship is a pride in the whole country.

“The landing ship has all the possibilities for use in military and humanitarian operations anywhere in the world. Thanks to the TCG Anadolu vessel, Turkey will be one of the world leaders in the field of technology, systems and solutions that change the situation on the ground,” Erdogan assured.

The implementation of the TCG Anadolu project started on April 30, 2016. The ship was launched in May 2019, and from June 2022 the tests of the flagship of the Turkish fleet continued.

On a vessel 231 meters long and 32 meters wide, it is possible to place a landing from a battalion, which allows you to quickly transfer the forces to any part of the region and the world.

The ship is designed as a whole for the transportation of 94 units of equipment, including 13 tanks, 27 armored personnel carriers and 6 armored personnel carriers. On the deck 10 helicopters and 11 shock UAVs can be placed. The hangar of the vessel is designed for 19 more helicopters and 30 drones. The ship can also accommodate four boats.
