Head of the Duma Committee on International Affairs Leonid Slutsky made the exit of Russia from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) on the air of the Soloviev. Live program, RIA Novosti reports.
“You can talk about a possible leaving of the Council of Europe, from its parliamentary Assembly. You can go out only from the Council of Europe as a whole,” he said.
The deputy expressed the hope that the Russian authorities will accept a “adequate decision”, since the Council of Europe and PACE, in his opinion, are used “to apply different sorts of strikes in Russia.”
