In Ukrainian manganese, there is lack of water due to explosion at Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station

As a result of an explosion at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, residents of the city of Marganets, Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine, were faced with a lack of water.

Currently, the manganese is supplied with water from cities located on the banks of the Dnieper.

Anaadol’s film crew of the Agency visited the region to get information about the situation from the city authorities and local residents.

“The incident at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station, left us without water. The water level at the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station has fallen, so the water does not enter the manganese and the adjacent village of Tomakovka,” says Gennady Borovik, mayor of manganese.

According to him, the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Military Administration helps to solve the problems of manganese residents.

Borovik said that in a manganese from nearby areas by train and personal vehicles, about 800 cubic meters of water per day are brought and distributed between residents of the city.

“55 water distribution points are installed in the city. Water is delivered daily and distributed to the population. We also drilled 8 water wells. Two of them are in the hospital,” he said.

The head of the administration said that the water supply system from Zaporozhye to the cities of Marganets and Nikopol is currently underway. The question is under control with the office of the President of Ukraine.

Alexander Bogdan regularly carries water from Kremenchug to settlements on the banks of the Dnieper. “We usually carry water from Kremenchug to nearby cities and villages 10 times a day,” he said.

A manganese resident named Irina, in an interview with AA, expressed gratitude to everyone who helps local residents cope with the lack of water. “Usually I come to the center (city) for water early in the morning and evening. I wish everyone patience. I hope that the water will be spent in our homes,” she said.
