In US “inspired by” negotiations of Putin and Macron, but prepared for refugees and gas deficit

Washington was inspired by the recent negotiations of French President Emmanuel Macgron and Russian President Vladimir Putin, said the representative of the White House Jennifer Psaka.

“We are inspired by any efforts in the field of diplomacy,” said Psaki, commenting on the recent negotiations of French President Emmanuel Macgron and Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow.

At the same time, Psaka noted that the United States together with allies prepare for all possible manifestations of the crisis around Ukraine, including the massive outcome of refugees, interruptions with oil and gas supplies, transfers RIA Novosti. She refused to comment on media reports that American intelligence predicts up to 5 million refugees and up to 50,000 dead among civilians in the event of the beginning of hostilities in the region.

“But we, of course, are preparing for a variety of scenarios for developing events, we interact with our European partners and colleagues to prepare for them. This refers to possible refugees, the possibility of gase and oil deficiency,” Psaki said, adding the United States not able to control the following steps of Russia, but may create difficult consequences for it in case of escalation around Ukraine.
