In Uzbekistan, they began to nominate first presidential candidates

At the extraordinary Plenum of the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, a decision was made to nominate at the upcoming congress a presidential candidate in early elections on July 9, the leader of the party of Ulugbek Inoyatov, the Uzbek media reported.

Inoyatov headed the party in the summer of 2019. Before that, from June 2018, he worked as the rector of Namangan State University, and earlier – in 2013-2018 – the Minister of Education.

Presidential candidate previously nominated by the Ecological Party of Uzbekistan.

The Social Democratic Party “Adolat” nominates the presidential candidate of Uzbekistan Robakhon Makhmudov. Since July 2020, she has been working as the first deputy chairman of the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan – chairman of the judicial board for administrative cases.

Early presidential elections in Uzbekistan will be held on July 9, 2023.
