The Minister of Defense of Armenia Suren Papikyan met with the Minister of National Defense of Greece Nicos Dandias, who is in Armenia on an official visit.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, a bilateral conversation in a narrow format was held between the ministers, after which a meeting began in an expanded composition with the participation of delegations of the two countries.
During the meeting, the issue of cooperation in the field of defense between Armenia and Greece was discussed, the work carried out in the direction of agreements reached during the negotiations held in Athens in December 2023, and a number of new areas of cooperation were outlined.
A decision was made after ratification of an agreement on military-technical cooperation between the governments of the two countries to give cooperation in the field of defense a new direction.
The parties also exchanged views on regional security issues.
