The information that was common in the Armenian media that the fire on the mountain near the border village of Verichen was provoked by the armed forces of Azerbaijan is not true.

“According to the Ministry of Emergencies of Armenia, the fire was extinguished at 22:33,” he said.
On Friday, the Ministry of Emergencies of Armenia reported a fire in the area of the border village of Verishen Sunik region. Vice-mayor Goris Irina Yolyan said that a fire broke out in the area of Lake Lich, the fire began in Azerbaijani territory. At the same time, Yolyan did not exclude that the fire broke out “because of the deliberate actions of the Azerbaijani military.”
