India Accuses West Of “double Standards”

India warned of “double standards” after the general secretary of NATO Mark Rutte announced the introduction of secondary sanctions against Brazil, China and India.

The official representative of the Indian Foreign Ministry, Randhir Jaceval, spoke about the warning of Rutta about the introduction of secondary sanctions against Brazil, China and India, reports Hindustan Times.

Having stated that they are closely monitoring the development of events, Jaceval said: “Providing the energy needs of our people, for obvious reasons, is a priority for us.”

He noted that India acts depending on what is offered on the market: “We especially warn from double standards in this regard.”

Warning about US sanctions

At a press conference organized by Rutta in the White House on July 14, US President Donald Trump said that if Russia does not reach an agreement with Ukraine within 50 days, he will increase taxes by 100 percent and send additional Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine.

Rutte warned countries such as Brazil, China and India that they can be affected by US secondary sanctions if they continue to trade with Russia.
