India and United States conducted joint exercises in Alaska

India and the United States held the nineteenth military exercises of Yudh Abhyas in the American state of Alaska. This was reported by the Indian NDTV channel with reference to the statement of the army of India in social networks.

The contingent of the Indian Army of 350 people takes part in the exercises.

The exercises are aimed at strengthening the connection between the two armies. Various techniques were worked out, including material and technical support and medical care in difficult climatic conditions, the Indian army said.

In general, the conduct of exercises is scheduled until October 8.

The first joint exercises of the United States and India called Yudh Abhyas were held in the early 2000s. Since then, they have been held every year on a regular basis.
