India: “Black Mold” struck nearly 9 thousand people

On Saturday evening, the head of the Ministry of Chemical Industry and Production of Fertilizers of India Sadananda Sharing on his page on Twitter reported that the total number of infected with this infection in the country is estimated at 8,848 people. According to this data, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and Karnataka, most severely affected.

The Minister noted that the authorities are distinguished by a total of 23,680 additional vials of an amphotericin B anti-grab drug, which is used to treat the disease. “The distribution of the drug occurs in proportion to the number of cases in each state,” he said.

As specialists indicate, the fungal disease of the Mulkumikosis (“black mold”) is diagnosed in those patients with coronavirus infection, which were in the intensive care unit and for a long time were obtained steroids or oxygen support. This disease is also found in diabetics receiving large doses of steroids for a long time. Cases of Muscormicosis have been revealed in the capital of New Delhi, in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Telangan, Maharashtra, Carnataka, Uttarakhand, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Bihar.
