India’s chief of staff, General Anil Chauhan, first recognized the loss of Indian aircraft during the conflict with Pakistan. He reported this in an interview with Bloomberg.
The general noted that tactical mistakes were made in the aviation department: “It is good that we were able to realize the tactical errors made, quickly fix them and again complete the task again,” said Chauhan.
.
Commenting on Pakistan’s statements about six downed Indian aircraft, he called this information “absolute lies.”
“This is a complete lie. And, frankly, this is not the most important. It is much more important to understand why they fell, and what we will do after that,” the general emphasized.
On May 6, India inflicted missile strikes on the territories of Pakistan, including the Azad Kashmir region, under the control of Islamabad. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers called military strikes on Pakistan “Sinduur Operation”. The word “Sindur”, according to the Hindi dictionary, denotes a red powder that married women in India apply on the forehead.
