Indonesia: Volcanic Eruptions For Semerus Occurred Again

In the provinces of East Java in Indonesia, two new eruptions in the volcano Semyon were recorded. This was reported by the Antara agency with reference to the monitoring center of the volcano Semero.

According to the message, the volcano erupted twice in one day.

The first explosion occurred at 05:01 local time and lasted about 140 seconds. At 09:28 the next eruption was recorded, lasting 145 seconds.

the ashes reached a height of 500 meters and moved in the direction of the southeast.

According to local authorities, the volcano remains under the second level of danger (anxiety level). Local residents and tourists should not approach the vent of the volcano closer than 8 km.

Indonesia is located in the seismic “Pacific Fire Ring” and has about 130 active volcanoes.
