Intelligence of Ukraine: Putin ordered to completely capture Donetsk and Lugansk regions

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered his troops to completely capture the Donetsk and Lugansk regions of Ukraine by March. About this Kyiv Post was told by the representative of the Main Intelligence Department of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrei Chernyak.

According to him, there are already signs that Russia is preparing for a new offensive on the Donbass.

“We are observing that Russian … forces relocate additional shock groups, units, weapons and military equipment to the east,” Chernyak said.

Having failed to capture Kyiv, as provided for in the original plan, the Kremlin reduced the purpose of the war to the capture of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions, which he partially controlled since 2014, Chernyak says.
