Intelligence USA: Russia purchases weapons in North Korea

Russia buys millions of ammunition from North Korea. This was announced by the intelligence of the United States, writes New York Times.

According to the publication, Washington officials have accurate procurement data.

“The Ministry of Defense of Russia is in the process of purchasing millions of missiles and artillery shells at North Korea for use on the battlefield in Ukraine,” an unnamed official told the newspaper. According to him, in the future, Russia may try to buy additional North Korean military equipment.

Intelligence of the United States did not publish data with the exact numbers of the expenses of Russia and the number of weapons purchased. However, Washington is confident that Pyongyang’s purchases showed that the Russian military “continues to suffer from acute lack of deliveries in Ukraine, partly due to export control and sanctions.”
