From December 16 to 19, with the joint organization of the Ministry of Science and Education, the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Federation of Working Azerbaijan, the International Tournament U17 “Education” in the Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling.
In the competitions that started at the Baku Sports Palace, children and youth sports schools, sports organizations and teams of foreign countries are participating.
In the competitions included in the Calendar of the World Warfish Union (UWW), more than 200 athletes from Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Israel and France will take part.
In the first two days of the competitions that local and foreign judges will serve, freestyle wrestling will be held, the next two days – the Greco -Roman wrestling.
The goal of the tournament is to increase the popularity of wrestling among schoolchildren, to increase the competitive experience of teenage athletes, strengthen friendly relations between them, selection of candidates for prefabricated republican teams consisting of adolescents in this sport.
