More than 62 thousand people were forced to flee their homes after the city of El Fasher, the administrative center of northern Darfur in western Sudan, came under the control of the Rapid Reaction Force (RRF) on October 26. According to the IOM, according to the organization’s field teams, 62,263 people fled from El Fasher and surrounding villages between October 26 and 29.
The organization noted that on October 29 alone, 26,080 people were forced to relocate from El Fasher.
