Iran: grave of Azerbaijani poet was destroyed

In Iran in the city of Khorasan, unknown faces destroyed the grave of the Azerbaijani poet of the 13th century, Izdeddin Hasanoglu. This was announced on the social network by a folklorist, head of the department of relations with foreign countries of the Institute of Folklore Nana Ali Shamil.

“… They sent a photograph of the Gasanoglu grave in destroyed. I would like our intelligentsia, official circles to express their attitude to this issue,” he said.

Shamil added that the poet’s grave was restored last year.
