Iran is preparing for launch of a large oil pipeline

In the near future, a large oil pipeline will be launched in Iran, which will allow the country to export most of its oil through the Oman Bay, President of the Islamic Republic of Hassan Roukhani said, Iran.ru reports.

“in the coming months we have to open two major projects. One of them is the Guera-Jask oil pipeline, which includes 1000 kilometers of pipe gasket, so most of our oil exports will be transmitted from the Persian Gulf to Omansky Bay,” – Roukhani said during the launch ceremony of several infrastructure facilities and economic projects in Iri free trade zones.

He stressed the importance of the pipeline in terms of politics, security and economy.

The pipeline begins from the Gure oil terminal in the southwestern province Busheter (on the Persian Gulf Coast) and goes to the Port Terminal Jask in the south-east of Iran (on the coast of the Oman Bay). The project worth 2 billion dollars will allow IRI to deliver oil to export outside the Ormuz Strait, notes the Iranian edition.
