Iran refused to help Turkey

The Society of the Red Crescent Iran did not accept the proposal of Turkey to help the victims of the earthquake in the city of Khoy.

The Iranian side said that it does not need help, all the consequences of the humanitarian disaster caused by the earthquake will be eliminated by them. This was reported by the Society of the Red Crescent of Turkey.

A earthquake of magnitude 5.9 occurred on January 28 in the northwestern part of Iran. The hearth lay at a depth of 43 km, the epicenter was 23 km southeast of the city of Hoy. According to initial estimates, the earthquake caused damage to 2 cities or more than 70 villages, destroyed up to 50% of the buildings in them. As a result of the earthquake, three people died and 816 were injured, Iranian authorities said.
