Iran was called to resolve “misunderstandings” with Azerbaijan

Iran and Azerbaijan have long-term general boundaries and carry out political cooperation arising from common interests, the press secretary of the Iranian Foreign Ministry of the Foreign Ministry Nassani said at the weekly press conference.

“We believe that some misunderstandings between the two countries should be allowed through negotiations. The Azerbaijani side took positive steps in this direction and Iran, as before, takes steps in this direction,” he said.

Canani also stated that normal relations between Iran and Azerbaijan, despite some misunderstandings.

Commenting on a tripartite meeting between the speakers of the parliaments of Iran, Azerbaijan and Turkey, Canani called the natural meetings at international meetings with the participation of several parties, noting that there are favorable conditions for such a meeting.
