Iranian deputies are discussing protests behind closed doors

Iran’s parliament held a closed meeting dedicated to the situation with protest in the country, IRNA reports.

The Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Iran Ahmad Wahidi had to submit a report on events in IRI in recent weeks to parliamentarians. The performance of the chief of the police Iran of Brigadier General Hossein Ashtari is also planned.

We are talking about the attack on September 30 on a police station in the city of Zaudan in the province of Sistan and Belujistan in the southeast of Iran, where the head of the local intelligence department of the Islamic Revolutionary Guardian Corps, Colonel Ali Musavi.

At the same time on Sunday, October 2, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi accused Iran’s opponents of organizing protests in order to prevent the country’s development. He noted that while the authorities are engaged in the case of Mahsa Amini, after the death of which the riots broke out, “the enemy is trying to distort public opinion with the help of an intensive war in the media.”

In Iran, for more than 10 days, protests have been held that have broken out due to the death of 22-year-old Amini in the police department. The authorities detained 1,189 people.
