Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Erakchi said that he had a “very good meeting” with Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding that Russia’s position regarding attacks on Iran was still “very good and decisive”
According to the Iranian official news agency IRNA, the Foreign Minister Erakchi spoke about his meeting with Russian President Putin.
According to the minister, he had a “very good meeting” with Putin. Erakchi added that during the meeting they discussed “Current events in details.”
Having emphasized that Tehran and Moscow are closely cooperating on international issues and support each other’s positions, Erakchi added: “Russia has always played an important and serious role in the nuclear program of Iran. The Bushera Nuclear power plant was built by Russians, and two other power plants (with Russian participation in Iran) are in the design and construction stage.”
Erakchi noted that the consequences of attacks on Iran cause the general concern of the region, the international community and the nuclear non -proliferation system, Russia is also concerned about this issue.
“The position of Russia (in relation to attacks) has still been very good and decisive. Russia is working to take the necessary steps in the UN Security Council,” he said.
Iranian Minister believes that even if the United States imposes a veto, other members of the Council must declare their position against these attacks.
