Iranian researcher was banned from entry into United States

The United States banned the entrance to the country of Iranian-Canadian researcher Maryam Shaml, who was supposed to receive a two-year internship at the Harvard Medical School, IRNA reports.

Earlier, AP News reported that according to court documents, the Iranian-Canadian researcher of Diabetes, who was supposed to start a two-year internship at the Harvard Medical School, was illegally denied entry into the United States and was discriminated against due to its Iranian origin.

The clinical program of immigration and refugees of the Harvard Law School said on Tuesday that it filed a lawsuit against the federal government, as well as a complaint to the civil rights department of the Ministry of Internal Security on behalf of the researcher specified in court documents as Maryam Shaml.
