Iran’s parliament approved the “Agreement on a comprehensive strategic partnership” with Russia.
According to the Iranian News Agency of the Majlis, Majlis approved an agreement on the creation of a long -term comprehensive strategic partnership between Russia and Iran.
The agreement covers comprehensive cooperation between two countries in various fields as military defense, the fight against terrorism, economics, trade, energy, transport, agriculture and culture.
Russia and Iran since 2021 have been working on an agreement on long -term strategic cooperation, which provides for interaction in strategic and commercial fields.
January 17, Iranian President Masud Kiteshkin and Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an agreement on the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries.
The State Duma and the Russian Federation of Russia also ratified the agreement.
In March 2021, Iran signed a similar agreement with China.
