Iraq offered Iran to help in negotiations with Saudi Arabia

Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein announced the readiness of Baghdad to work as an intermediary in establishing relations between Iran and Saudi Arabia. The minister said this in an interview with Alwatannews.

“Iraq has repeatedly made efforts in order to promote Iran in restoring contacts with the Gulf countries,” he said.

Hussein explained that Baghdad’s desire to participate in this process is explained by an understanding of how much the security of the region and the internal security of Iraq depend on the stability of relations between Iran and the countries of the Persian Gulf.
